Because the right time doesn’t always fall within standard daytime hours, after-hours, overnight, weekend and public holiday enquiries for in-home pet euthanasia are welcome. The $700 fee applies outside weekdays 8am–6pm, and on weekends and public holidays.

You’ll receive the same gentle, unhurried in-home care, with time to say goodbye in the comfort and familiarity of home.

Includes: veterinary consultation, gentle sedation, IV catheter placement, euthanasia and support with aftercare arrangements.

Your pet is cremated alongside other beloved companion animals, with their ashes respectfully scattered afterwards rather than returned to your family.

For families who would like their pet's ashes returned home.

Through our collaboration with Pet Angel Funerals, your pet is cremated individually, ensuring that the ashes returned to you are your pet's ashes alone. Pet Angel's individual cremation packages currently start from $435, with a range of urns, scatter boxes and personalised memorial options available.

Their service can include collection, individual cremation, return of ashes, a certificate of cremation and selected keepsakes, depending on the package chosen.

For families noticing changes in their pet’s comfort, mobility, appetite, behaviour or enjoyment, or wondering how to assess quality of life and what may come next.

Dr Ray will take a holistic look at your pet’s overall wellbeing, including comfort, pain, mobility, appetite, behaviour, enjoyment of life and the things that still bring them happiness.

The aim is to give you a clearer picture of your pet’s quality of life and help you understand what may come next. This may include guidance around symptom management, supportive care, palliative options or end-of-life planning, depending on your pet’s individual needs.

Where appropriate, Dr Ray can also discuss conventional and integrative treatment options that may help improve comfort or quality of life.

There is no pressure to make a decision during the appointment. The consultation is designed to give you reassurance, practical guidance and a plan that feels right for both your pet and your family.

For pets living with advanced illness, frailty or progressive decline, Dr Ray provides personalised, comfort-focused care designed to support quality of life at home.

The consultation includes a review of your pet’s symptoms, pain, mobility, appetite, current medications and overall wellbeing, with a focus on what can be done to keep them as comfortable and settled as possible.

Depending on your pet’s individual needs, care may include conventional medications alongside evidence-informed complementary or integrative therapies where clinically appropriate. This may include consideration of cannabinoid-based medicines, hormonal therapies or other adjunctive treatments when suitable and legally available following veterinary assessment.

Dr Ray can also help with practical end-of-life planning, including symptom management, nursing care, mobility support, appetite, pain relief and preparing for euthanasia when the time is right.

The goal is to reduce discomfort, preserve dignity and support the best possible quality of life for as long as it remains appropriate, while helping your family feel informed and supported through the decisions ahead.
